The “Stromboli Conferences” are periodic international meetings, where various luminaries of medicine discuss new research developments regarding the prevention of diseases related to aging and cancer.

The first three conferences - held on the Aeolian Islands in 1987, 1990 and 1993 - have revealed the undeniable existence of a biological clock present in the pineal network of the brain, hence the “program” of our life.

Twelve years later, in 2005, the fourth Stromboli Conference launched a two-year series of conferences to represent the “real facts” to the scientific community and to allow everybody to freely express their opinions, theories, methods and inventions in order to identify, once and for all, what aging represents and how to prevent and avoid diseases related to the same, i.e.: metabolic, cardiovascular, autoimmune diseases and cancer.

Therefore, the Stromboli Conferences have the objective of critically identifying and proposing all functional and mechanistic approaches that can delay, prevent or even stop the progress of aging and diseases generally linked to senescence. Last but not least, the objective is to favor the prevention or mitigation of the harmful consequences of chemical pollution on our planet, in order to make us aware of the many dangers that threaten our daily life.
